IGNOU Admission 2026: How to Apply Online?

Students can go through the online admission portal and follow the steps to complete the enrollment process.

Step 1: Visit the IGNOU admission portal. (It has separate portals for online and ODL programmes)

Step 2: Register by clicking the new registration option and using a valid phone number and email address.

Step 3: Choose the programme that best aligns with your academic qualifications and professional goals.

Step 4: Upload a soft copy of all the required documents specified in the application form.

Step 5: Pay the course fee using a secure payment gateway.

Step 6: The final step is to submit the application form. Students must download the fee receipt and acknowledgement for future use.

Note: Students must provide a valid phone number and email id and they shall be verified through OTP at the time of registration.

Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund Policy

Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.

• The paid amount will be reimbursed before admission is confirmed.
• If a cancellation request is received after the confirmation of admission, an amount equal to 15% of the programme price, up to a maximum of Rs.2,000/-, will be taken from the fee paid.
• If the student has opted for a soft copy of study material, the fee paid shall be refunded after deducting the registration fee only.
• If an admission cancellation request has been received from a student who has paid the registration and development fee, only the development fee will be refunded.
• After 60 days of the admission closing date, no refund of fee will be admissible.
