UGC Invites Applications for 2025–26 Online & Distance Learning Programs

The University Grants Commission (UGC), under the Ministry of Education (MoE), has opened applications for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) seeking recognition to offer online and distance learning programs for the 2025–26 academic year. Interested and eligible universities and colleges can apply through the official website,ugc.ac.in,from 20th October to 10 November 2025.

If the educational institute passes the process and gets approved to offer ODL courses and online programmes, they are allowed to offer courses from February 2026. Once the colleges or universities are applied online, they need to submit the documents in a hard copy of their application as well, and the last date to submit physical copies is 20 November 2025.
